Rosanne Sorrentino

Best remembered for her supporting role as Pepper in the 1982 film version of the musical Annie, this child actress had previously played the title role in the 1980 to 1981 national theatrical tour of the same show.

She became interested in acting in the mid 1970s, after participating in a workshop at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts.

After achieving childhood fame, she settled on Long Island, married, had two daughters, and became a middle school teacher.

Though she had played Annie in the musical's third national tour, she was thought by producers to be too old to play the red-headed orphan in the movie version of the show and instead played the supporting role of Pepper to Aileen Quinn's Annie.
