Nelson Peltz

New York entrepreneur who founded the Trian Fund Management company and also served on the boards of the Wendy's fast food company, the Legg Mason international investment firm, and the Ingersoll Rand industrial corporation.

He dropped out of the University of Pennsylvania's business school and became a truck driver for A. Peltz & Sons, his grandfather's grocery business.

He grew up in a Jewish family in Brooklyn, New York. With his third wife, model Claudia Heffner, he had eight children; his first two marriages produced a total of two children.

He was a major donor in the second presidential campaign of George W. Bush.
