Hideko Takamine

She won a Japan Academy Prize Lifetime Achievement Award and starred in Floating Clouds and When a Woman Ascends the Stairs.

She worked as a child actor and had her first role in the 1929 film, Mother from Shochiku Studio.

She was married to Zenzo Matsuyama from 1955 until her death in 2010.

After appearing in Shochiku studio's 1929 film, Mother (Haha), she became known as Japan's Shirley Temple.
